Value for the moneyI bout this to replace a broken headlight in a 99 Toyota 4Runner. Fit as good as the factory light. You won’t be disappointed in this.I used these lights to build my own HID's with a set of BXBuilt Bi-LED Projectors. They worked well, but adjusting them was a total pain with the fragile plastic adjusters that are difficult to reach. Then, about 3 months after install, one seemed to be pointed way down and I discovered it was flopping around in the mount. The place where the adjuster attaches to the light body had fractured and the light body was no longer attached to the frame where the adjuster screw is. I haven't had time to fix it yet, so now one of my headlights is just pointed down and it flops around going over bumps. This is the 3rd set of these that I've used for various things, and the first time I've had this issue. All the other brands are plastic or many more $$$$ to buy. This was a super replacement back to factory-grade glass. NICE! Should have bought two....My OEM headlight assembly rusted out and one of the mounts broke, so it was time to replace the entire assembly, and these assemblies worked great! Looks the same as OEM from what I can tell, and no problems whatsoever after 4 months of being installed! And I live in Seattle and park outside where it's constantly raining, but I haven't gotten any condensation or moisture on the inside of the assembly, it's all been great!I cannot recommend this product based on poor QA quality. The driver side unit arrived improperly assembled with a missing lens clamp and a lens that was not fully seated in the housing as a result. Also, the metal diffuser that sits in front of the bulb was either incorrectly installed or damaged prior to installation and was out of alignment which would have caused diminished performance or worse. This unit should never have passed QA. It's possible this was a one off but I decided not to proceed with the install and returned both without opening the box with the passenger side unit. YMMVOn my '99 4runner the passenger side went on without a hitch. However the driver's side was a fail as the alignment caused the headlight to jam up on the hood and the marker lens.I bought a set of these for my '96 4runner. The reflective coating in my stock lights had deteriorated and stuffed off all around the bulbs leaving light gray plastic, and they were dangerously dim. The '99 - 2002 lights have clear lenses and a faceted reflector and look nicer as well as function better. I first installed these with the included bracket at first, which was a pretty flimsy, and loose after installed. I then installed them into my '96 brackets and they were much better. After adjusting them, the light pattern isn't perfect, but it's a vast improvement over my old and deteriorated stock lights. They put out much more light, and look a lot nicer as well. Swap the brackets out with stock if you still have them, and save the TYC hardware for spares.Good quality glass replacement for 3rd gen 4runnerHavent installed it yet but it looks well made . Ill be ordering the other side next as i now have a hole on that side . I hate rocks .Had to crank the adjuster all the way to get the left/right to sit properlyquality is o.k. inexpensive. fit 97 4runner.Don't quite fit, making it work. Not the sellers fault. It's manufacturer.
